Stokkseyri is the site of colourful and diverse bird-and plant life surrounding an unusual lake-district and on the beach, which is renowned for its beauty. Ferðaþjónustan Suðurströnd offers visitors an unusual way to explore nature by kayaking around the lakes and the sea. Jeep excursions are on offer as well.
